AnnaLynne McCord may be writing a lot of thank-you notes after her walk down the aisle. The Emmy-nominated actress and 90210 alum married fiancé Danny Cipriani in a backyard ceremony at their Los Angeles home on Saturday, Aug. 22, the couple revealed to People magazine. The nuptials come less than a month after McCord and Cipriani sparked backlash with an online fundraiser for the event.
"Our home is where we get to start our new life together," McCord, 39, told the magazine. "To have those we love the most bless it with their presence, in celebration of our love, will be a gift that keeps on giving for years to come."
The couple, who were originally set to get married on Oct. 22, posted a registry wish list on the crowdfunding site Honeyfund. Some of the wedding expenses, ranging from $125 to $600, included music, beverages, catering, photography, rehearsal dinner and a venue construction fee.
The registry drew criticism from several fans on social media, who blasted the celebrity couple for requesting donations for their nuptials.

For her wedding attire, McCord wore two gowns by Beverly Hills designer Mark Zunino and was styled by celebrity beautician René Horsch, according to People. The reception reportedly featured a buffet-style Middle Eastern spread from Carnival Restaurant, a family-owned Lebanese eatery in Sherman Oaks, California. The wedding cake, a two-tiered white confection, was catered by Half Baked Co. Guests were also treated to a live music production, which included performances by saxophonist Alek Sanchez-Tellez, violinist Katarina Baumgart and French singer Ana-Maria Desai.
The couple's backyard was decorated with an assortment of floral arrangements - pale pink roses and hydrangeas with burgundy dahlias - from the Downtown Los Angeles Flower Market, as well as a hand-built wooden trellis with draping linens. McCord told People that several of the wedding guests, which totaled 81, pitched in to set up the wedding decor.
"Our soul family has flown in from all over the world, booked big houses together and shown up to wrap floral arrangements around unsightly pipes, cover our backyard with lanterns and rose petals, perform blessing ceremonies, rituals and rites - all to put their hearts' love into the cornerstone of the temple of our marriage and budding life together," McCord said.
"If the entire event fell apart, but they were all still there with us, we have what truly matters: people who know us deeply and love us for who we truly are and for how much our love means to them."
"For me, now, getting married is this wildly sacred ritual of bringing my soul home," McCord said. "When I came to earth, my soul split in two. I didn't know the other half had been living in the United Kingdom as a rugby player all this time. This marriage is the return of my whole soul. We get to walk each other home."
McCord and Cipriani, a British former rugby player, met on the dating app Raya about 10 years ago and dated on and off before splitting in 2020, according to People magazine. The pair rekindled their romance in 2024. The actress said she views their wedding as "the cornerstone of the life we are intending to build with each other."
While many fans congratulated McCord and Cipriani on their wedding, several commenters were quick to point out the ceremony's controversial origins. "I still can't believe they asked their guests to pay for their wedding," one Instagram user wrote alongside a laughing emoji. Others chimed in with similar sentiments about the crowdfunding ask.
