Former Child Star Raquel Lee Bolleau Takes Disney To Court Over Alleged 2001 Assaults

Former Disney Star Files Lawsuit in LA Court

Raquel Lee Bolleau has stepped forward with serious allegations against Disney, filing a civil negligence suit in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Aug. 21. The 39-year-old actress claims she suffered repeated sexual assaults while filming the Disney Channel movie The Poof Point back in 2001.

According to the complaint, an unnamed middle-aged Disney employee allegedly supplied her with alcohol and assaulted her multiple times during the Salt Lake City shoot. The troubling incidents reportedly continued even on the flight back to California.

Production Set in Disarray Amid Alleged Failures

Bolleau alleges that Disney workers pushed her to “bond” with the employee and separated her from her guardian without proper oversight. She says the man even tormented her openly on set, whispering things like “last night was so good” within earshot of adults - yet no one stepped in.

“The way this young talent was treated on that production is something no one should ever have to go through, especially not under the watch of a major studio like Disney,” said a representative close to the case.

Adults on set reportedly noticed her sudden shift from dedicated performer to someone who seemed sick and struggled with her lines. Instead of investigating, Bolleau claims executives labeled her “out of control” and canceled a future role.

Seeking Justice and Accountability

The lawsuit seeks damages for economic losses, emotional distress, punitive damages, and legal fees. Her attorneys, Douglas Wigdor and Jane Kim, emphasized that everyone involved must face consequences.

Bolleau later lent her voice to The Proud Family and its Disney+ revival. Disney has not yet commented on the filing.
