The Unforgettable Beach Prank

Amanda Seyfried has undoubtedly had her fair share of memorable on-set antics, but one particular incident during the filming of the hit movie *Dear John* stands out. While chatting with Deadline about her latest project, *The Testament of Ann Lee*, Seyfried shared a story that almost took a comedic turn for the worse.

Seyfried reminisced about the playful dynamic she shared with co-star Channing Tatum during the 2010 film. "[Tatum] and I effed with each other the entire movie in a super, super fun way," Seyfried explained. "He's very, very funny, and we had a great time." This playful energy between the two led to a rather peculiar incident involving an unexpected coffee mix-up.

"He peed on my leg once, without me knowing. He peed on my leg on the beach, and I didn't realize at first, and then I was like, 'Oh, that's why he's standing so close to me,'" Seyfried recalled, pulling a face.

A Close Call with Coffee

The story took a twist when Seyfried realized that a nearby coffee cup had been compromised during the prank. "There was a coffee cup very close by, and a little bit got in the coffee cup, and he ran away as I was screaming," she recounted. The situation nearly escalated when a makeup artist unknowingly picked up the cup, ready to take a sip.

Just in time, Seyfried swooped in to rescue her colleague from potentially drinking the tainted coffee. This behind-the-scenes mishap reveals the light-hearted chaos that sometimes accompanies the making of a romantic drama based on Nicholas Sparks' novel.

From Pranks to New Projects

Despite the prank-filled environment, Seyfried and Tatum managed to create a compelling film centered around a soldier and a college student exchanging letters while separated by duty. Reflecting on her rapport with Tatum, Seyfried told E! News in 2015, "We don't take anything too seriously, but we're shooting a movie that's very heavy, all about love and romance."

Seyfried's playful relationships with her co-stars continue to this day, as seen with Sydney Sweeney during their time working on *The Housemaid*. The film already has a sequel in the works, and Seyfried is more than keen to return. "Oh yeah, absolutely [I'd do more films]," she mentioned, showcasing her enthusiasm for future projects that may bring more on-set laughter and camaraderie.
