Armie Hammer’s mom, Dru Hammer, is stepping into the limelight with a podcast that’s bound to make waves in Tinseltown. Teaming up with celebrity insider John Luciano, Dru is launching 'Hollywood and Divine,' a platform designed for celebs who’ve fallen from grace to narrate their side of the story. In a world where Hollywood can be quick to judge and discard, this podcast promises to offer a stage for redemption.
Dru explains, “There is absolutely a place for the Me Too movement; so many things have happened. But a lot of men have been hammered, and it’s been hard for them to have a voice. So it’s a good opportunity to let them say what happened, what they did wrong, and repent.” The podcast aims to explore how faith and personal introspection can help navigate the rough waters of public scandal.
“Armie chose not to fight back," Dru shares. "I said, if he won’t, can I? We are mama bears. He was not criminally wrong; he was morally wrong.”
First up on the guest list is none other than Dru’s son, Armie Hammer himself. Armie’s Hollywood journey took a nosedive following allegations of inappropriate behavior, including accusations of cannibalistic fantasies. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, however, did not find enough evidence to charge him with any crime, though the backlash was enough to leave his career in shambles.
John Luciano, a relative of the infamous mobster Lucky Luciano, assures listeners that the podcast won’t shy away from the tough questions. He hopes to invite a roster of controversial figures like Kanye West, Mel Gibson, and Danny Masterson, aiming to give them a chance to explain or atone. While none of these names are confirmed, the ambition is clear: open dialogues and potential redemption.
Dru, who touched on her son’s scandal in her 2024 book 'Hammered,' looks forward to seeing how these discussions unfold on the podcast. The aim is to not only discuss where these individuals went astray but also to highlight the coping mechanisms they’ve utilized. For those without a spiritual anchor, alternative methods of overcoming scandal will be explored.
Armie, who ventured into the podcast world with 'The Armie Hammertime' from October 2024 to October 2025, is bouncing back onto the scene. He recently starred in 'Frontier Crucible' and will soon be seen in 'Citizen Vigilante,' slated for release this summer. Hollywood might be quick to cancel, but as Luciano puts it, “I believe in redemption... people deserve a chance to defend themselves or deserve a second chance.”
