Bridget Fonda, the once-retired Hollywood starlet, was spotted out and about in the sunny streets of Los Angeles over the weekend, turning heads with her impressive weight loss transformation. The former actress, now 61, was seen enjoying a leisurely holiday shopping spree at the children’s store, Flicka, nestled in Beverly Glen - a charming neighborhood known for its laid-back yet upscale vibe.
Sporting a chic black coat paired with matching pants and a monochrome scarf, Fonda radiated effortless style. Her choice of accessories – a fashionable black crossbody bag and a pair of glasses – perfectly complemented her slimmed-down look. Carrying two bags full of goodies, the actress was all smiles as she exited the boutique.
“It’s too nice being a civilian,” Fonda stated back in April 2023, reaffirming her decision to stay away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.
While Fonda has yet to publicly discuss her weight loss journey, nutritionist Monica Partier speculated that the "Single White Female" star has shed approximately 75 pounds in recent years – no small feat for anyone, especially over the age of 50. This transformation marks a significant change for Fonda, who retreated from the limelight in 2003 to focus on family life.
Reflecting on her past struggles with self-image, Fonda once confided to the Los Angeles Times, "Sometimes I feel like I can make myself look the way that I’m happy with, but I get really depressed if I think of the big picture or compare myself to movie stars who are supposed to look like Veronica Lake or Lauren Bacall.”
Bridget Fonda, daughter of the late Peter Fonda and niece to the legendary Jane Fonda, has a legacy of her own with memorable roles in films like "Singles" (1992), "The Godfather Part III" (1990), "Point of No Return" (1993), and "Jackie Brown" (1997). Her last acting project was the TV film "Snow Queen" in 2002, after which she chose to retreat from the industry to focus on raising her son, Oliver, at their serene ranch in Santa Barbara.
As of now, Fonda remains resolute in her choice to live life away from the spotlight, embracing her post-Hollywood chapter with grace and gratitude.
