Even the stars can be dazzled by other stars – just ask Christopher Meloni. The Law & Order: Organized Crime actor, celebrated as one of PEOPLE's Sexiest Men Alive for 2025, recently shared a candid moment about his own fanboy experience. While discussing what he finds attractive, Meloni mentioned, "A sense of humor. Grounded-ness. Not taking oneself too seriously. Those are all qualities that are attracting. If I'm attracted to someone, there is a sexiness involved." And it seems, for Meloni, that someone is the ever-talented Kate Winslet.
Meloni revealed his celebrity crush in a story filled with humor and admiration. He recalled, "One time I was at this celebration of an acting teacher's life, and Kate Winslet was there. I went home and I told my wife because I couldn't stop looking at her – and I'm not usually that guy. I was making excuses to look at Kate Winslet; she was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." It's a confession that left his wife, Sherman Williams, in stitches and occasionally teasing him about it. With a grin, Meloni admits, "I never should have told my wife all this. She's never forgiven me. Or rather, she's never let me forget. But to see Kate Winslet in real life? I went, 'Oh my God.' And she's earthy and she's ballsy. She's cool."

Despite the lighthearted anecdote about Winslet, Meloni's focus remains firmly on his family and career. This fall, while the fifth season of Organized Crime captivates audiences on NBC, Meloni is also embarking on a new adventure with a show from Dan Folgelman, creator of This Is Us. Playing an NFL coach alongside talented actors like Mandy Moore and William H. Macy, Meloni seems to have his hands full.
Yet, amidst his busy schedule, Meloni and his wife, Sherman Williams, continue to thrive in their 30-year marriage. They share two children, Sophia and Dante, and Meloni attributes their successful relationship to not being "apart for too long." With a love that's lasted and a sense of humor to match, it's clear that Meloni's life is as compelling off-screen as it is on.
