Rumors Swirl Around Bold New Directions

Hollywood is buzzing with whispers about Euphoria's third season, set to hit HBO screens in 2026. Fans can expect some provocative changes that might shake up the show's dynamic, including the possibility of Sydney Sweeney's character, Cassie, launching an OnlyFans account. There's also talk of more nudity among the cast, adding an intriguing layer to the storyline.

This wave of speculation arrives as Euphoria gears up for a spring 2026 release after a nearly four-year break. The extended pause, partly due to Hollywood strikes and the untimely passing of beloved star Angus Cloud, has left fans hungry for new episodes. It's no wonder that there's chatter about how the show will recapture its audience's attention.

"Judging by the initial sneak peeks, it feels like everyone on the pay cable show will be naked at all times to try and get people to watch after the long absence," according to the blind item first shared on November 26.

What We Know About Season 3

Season 3 is confirmed to feature a time jump, moving the characters beyond high school, which might explain Cassie's rumored career choices. Filming took place in Los Angeles, starting in February 2025 and wrapping up in November of the same year. Set for eight episodes, this season is believed to be Euphoria's closing chapter.

The show's return was delayed by industry-wide challenges, including the 2023 Hollywood writers' and actors' strikes. Additionally, creator Sam Levinson's work on HBO's controversial series, The Idol, also affected the timeline. HBO's Head of Drama, Francesca Orsi, hinted at this season being possibly the last, suggesting that fans will find the character arcs satisfyingly wrapped up.

The Cast: Who's In and Who's Out

Fans will be pleased to see many familiar faces returning, such as Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, and Alexa Demie. New additions to the cast include Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Toby Wallace as series regulars. Meanwhile, Colman Domingo will make guest appearances, and Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry have been promoted to series regulars.

Sadly, Angus Cloud, who portrayed the beloved Fezco, passed away in 2023, and his absence will undoubtedly be felt this season. Barbie Ferreira and Storm Reid will not be returning due to creative differences and other commitments. This mix of returning and departing cast members promises an emotional and dynamic new season.
