Alexandra Ianculescu is not your typical Olympic hopeful. This Canadian ice skater and cyclist is carving out her own path to the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Games, and it's anything but traditional. After making waves at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games, Alexandra is keeping her Olympic dream alive with a surprising twist – through her OnlyFans account.
Born in Romania in 1991, Alexandra moved to Toronto, Canada, in 2001. It was here that she laced up her skates for the first time, joining a local short track club. By 2011, she was competing for Canada at the Junior World Championships, and eventually, she represented Romania in the 500m speed skating event at the 2018 Winter Games.
After PyeongChang, Alexandra decided to shift gears – from skating to cycling. However, the journey from ice rinks to cycling tracks isn't cheap. That's where the popular adult platform, OnlyFans, enters the scene. In a candid chat with OK Diario, Alexandra revealed that she launched her OnlyFans account in 2021 primarily to cover her living expenses, training costs, and, yes, her coffee bills.
"I made an OnlyFans account in 2021," Alexandra shared. "It's helping me survive, pay rent, pay for groceries, and covers my cycling and coffee bills."
The idea came from a friend who saw her sharing bikini photos on social media and suggested monetizing that content. "I like my body," she said. "I want to post it anyway, so I said, 'I'll give it a month and see how it goes,' and it was crazy!"
Alexandra's journey hasn't been without its hurdles. Despite her efforts, she didn't qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. But that's not stopping her. "I'm patient. I plan to do this for a long time," she expressed. Her sights are firmly set on Los Angeles 2028.
"I'm going to work hard until I get there," Alexandra affirmed. With her OnlyFans account funding her dream, who knows what heights she might reach by then? In the City of Angels, where dreams are born and made, Alex's tenacity could very well lead her to Olympic glory.
