George Clooney's Bicoastal Lifestyle

Los Angeles may no longer be George Clooney's primary residence, but it holds an irreplaceable spot in his heart. After decades in the city that catapulted him to stardom, Clooney has recently embraced a full-time life in the serene landscapes of France with his family. Yet, in true Hollywood fashion, he has made it clear that he isn't "abandoning" the City of Angels.

Clooney, who now holds French citizenship, still maintains a "big apartment" in California, allowing him to make frequent returns. When asked by the Los Angeles Times if this move meant leaving L.A. behind, Clooney firmly responded, "No!"

"I've been there in that house for 30 years, and it was time to move," Clooney explained about selling his longtime Studio City home.

A Fond Farewell to Studio City

The former E.R. star reminisced about his time in Studio City, a neighborhood he first moved to in the '90s. "I loved being in Studio City," he admitted, noting its world-class sushi bars and vibrant culture. Despite its evolution, Clooney speaks fondly of both Studio City and Hollywood, the places where he found his footing and success.

"The Valley's really happening now," he shared with a nod to the area's transformation over the years. "I liked Hollywood too... Melrose Avenue was crazy. It was all punk rockers."

Family Life in France

While Clooney cherishes his Los Angeles roots, he finds peace in raising his family on a farm in France. Discussing the move, he revealed his concerns about raising children in the spotlight of L.A.

"We're very lucky," he shared with Esquire, reflecting on family life that's free from the pressures of fame. "They have a much better life. I felt like they were never going to get a fair shake at life [in Los Angeles]."

George and Amal also treasure their time at their homes in Lake Como, England, New York, and Kentucky, making for an international lifestyle that keeps them connected to both their past and present.

Ultimately, while Clooney enjoys the anonymity of France, Los Angeles remains a significant chapter in his story. After all, it's where his dreams took flight and lifelong friendships were forged. It's safe to say, he's not ditching L.A. anytime soon!
