The legal battle stems from allegations made by Tony Saxon, a former contractor, who claims Kanye owes him over $1 million in unpaid wages and lost earnings. Despite Kanye's legal team's efforts to dismiss the case, it remains in the spotlight.

Kanye snagged it for a cool $57.3 million back in 2021. Contractor's Claims Against Kanye

Tony Saxon says he was hired in September 2021 with promises of $20,000 a week to manage renovations, live on-site, and even provide security. But according to Saxon, he got just one paycheck, was forced to sleep without a proper bed, and faced increasingly extreme demands. When he raised safety concerns, Saxon claims his contract was unjustly terminated.

“It's been a challenging journey, but I'm standing up for what's right,” Saxon reportedly stated outside the courthouse.

Kanye's Counterattack

Not one to back down, Kanye and his legal team have struck back with a lawsuit of their own against Saxon. They argue that Saxon's $1.8 million lien on the mansion was wrongfully placed and claim it was part of a ploy to pressure Ye and disrupt potential deals.
