WEST HOLLYWOOD – October 17, 2025, was a night to remember as A-list stars gathered for Kylie Jenner's 10 Years of Kylie Cosmetics bash. And stealing the skincare spotlight? None other than Khloé Kardashian, who let slip her unexpected beauty secret.
Rendered cow fat, or beef tallow, is the latest craze sweeping through TikTok and celebrity circles alike. Khloé, always on the cutting edge of trends, shared her love for this unconventional moisturizer on her podcast "Khloé In Wonderland." She dropped a beauty bombshell, telling fans her go-to eye cream is beef tallow. "I believe in hydration for your skin — moisturizers at night," she said. "I love beef tallow that I put specifically around my eyes."
“Something that makes your eyes — it could be an oil, Vitamin E oil — anything that makes your eyes really lubricated, so when you sleep you don’t get wrinkles around your eyes,” she explained.
Khloé isn't alone in praising beef tallow. The ingredient has taken the social media world by storm, with influencers and stars singing its praises. Wellness influencer Hannah Bronfman dubbed it a "game-changer," sharing on Instagram how she slathers it on nightly due to its rich vitamin content. Meanwhile, pop star Jack Gilinsky gave beef tallow a shoutout on the Zach Sang Show, emphasizing its simplicity compared to typical moisturizers.
And let's not forget influencer Nara Smith, who filmed her husband, Lucky Blue Smith, crafting his own beef-tallow moisturizer from scratch. The trend has a "back to basics" appeal that resonates with those seeking natural alternatives.
But while celebs might be diving headfirst into this fad, experts remain cautious. Dermatologist Angela Wei, MD, highlights that while the natural allure of beef tallow is strong, it might not be ideal for everyone. "There’s no evidence that shows beef tallow has any additional benefits for your skin beyond being a natural moisturizer," Wei told the Cleveland Clinic. "It could clog pores and cause irritation."
So, while beef tallow might be the talk of Tinseltown, the jury's still out on its everyday use. As you consider adding it to your beauty routine, remember that sometimes, sticking to tried-and-true products might keep your skin happy and healthy.
