North West, the pint-sized megastar of the Kardashian clan, is no stranger to the spotlight. While other celebrity parents might keep their kiddos under wraps, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's firstborn is already making waves on social media and in the music biz. Recently, Kim spilled some juicy deets about North's iconic entrance into the world that only add to her already epic story.
Chatting with her sister on the 'Khloé in Wonder Land' podcast, Kim opened up about North's birth back on June 15, 2013, at the iconic Cedars-Sinai Medical Center right here in LA. In true Kardashian fashion, the event wasn't your average delivery – Ye, formerly Kanye West, was in the house, DJ-style, spinning Queen's classic 'Bohemian Rhapsody' as North made her grand debut.
During the podcast, Kim reminisced on how North had a sense of determination since day one. "Kanye was DJing, so he put on 'Bohemian Rhapsody' for the moment she came out. And isn't it so her?" she laughed. The song's themes of identity and liberation seem more than fitting for North's journey as she grows up in the limelight.
Meanwhile, Kourtney Kardashian confirmed this musical tidbit, telling Kim, "You don't remember? It was 'Bohemian Rhapsody.'" While Khloé might have missed that snapshot, the sisters agree it's a memory that keeps them laughing and crying!
"I'm just not a judgmental person like that," Kim reflected on raising North under the public eye. "I try not to pay attention to it, but I think that no one knows unless they're in my shoes what I'm dealing with."
Kim also addressed misconceptions about her parenting, emphasizing that individuality doesn't mean a lack of boundaries. She ensures North follows plenty of rules, though she proudly nurtures her daughter's self-expression. "The one area is I do let her express herself," Kim explained, "I love her for that."
For Kim and Ye, music isn't just a shared passion – it's a bridge in co-parenting. North spends hours in the studio channeling her creative energy under the guidance of her father. "At home, she'll do an 8-hour music studio session where she's producing and writing," Kim shared.
While Kim admits producing isn't her forte, she embraces it as North's bonding activity with her dad. "We have to communicate about how North moves through that world and all these opportunities," she emphasized, highlighting the duo's commitment to North's musical journey.
