Influencer's Bold Burglary Scheme

In a plot seemingly ripped from a Hollywood script, Los Angeles model and influencer Adva Lavie, also known by her alias Mia Ventura, stands accused of using her online charm to pull off a series of high-stakes burglaries. According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Lavie, a former Penthouse feature model, used dating apps to gain the trust and access to affluent elderly victims' homes across LA's swanky neighborhoods like Westlake Village, West Hollywood, Los Angeles, and Beverly Hills.

Lavie's game plan allegedly involved posing as a girlfriend or travel buddy, only to then swipe cash, gold, and designer treasures from her unsuspecting hosts. Her alleged high-end rides, including a classy Mercedes and a sleek Porsche, only added to her allure. "She exploited trust built through online relationships," Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman emphasized.

“At her trial, we will prove beyond a reasonable doubt that this defendant exploited trust built through online relationships to gain access to victims’ homes and steal from them. Her ability to deceptively influence others, whether in person or online, has now come to an end,” Hochman stated.

A Notorious Reputation

Lavie's alleged exploits didn't just stop at burglaries. During a guest spot on the "Access Vegas" podcast, host Michael Sartain claimed that Lavie swiped credit cards and cash from female panelists' purses while in the greenroom. "She got up at the 45-minute mark, and she was gone for 45 minutes and just went through everyone’s bag," said Sartain.

Her legal woes are mounting, with Lavie facing six felony charges including unauthorized use of personal identifying information, grand theft, and first-degree residential burglary. If found guilty on all counts, the sentence could be up to 11 years and eight months behind bars. Scheduled for arraignment on April 6, Lavie has pleaded not guilty to all charges and remains out on bail fitted with an ankle monitor, with strict orders to steer clear of her alleged victims.
