In the buzzing world of social media influencers, Olivia Ponton stands out as a trendsetting jetsetter. Known for hopping from one glamorous event to the next, she rarely stays in one spot for long. Just this past month, she was spotted runway-side at New York Fashion Week, skiing in Switzerland, and cheering at the Super Bowl in San Francisco. All the while, she's been working with OneOff, a chic fashion discovery platform that allows fans to shop the stylish pieces Ponton is known for.
From the West Coast to Europe, Olivia's journey is nothing short of impressive. "Maybe Paris, I'm not entirely sure," she muses about her next destination. Her ability to juggle such a packed schedule speaks volumes to the savvy travel skills she's honed over time. "It was very jam-packed, but I felt like I got the best of both worlds," she shares with PEOPLE.
"It's definitely not the easiest task in the world," Ponton says of packing a suitcase for maximum outfit potential.
Being a fashion-forward globetrotter isn't all glitz and glam. Olivia's nearly three million Instagram followers often see her curated style, but packing for these adventures is an art form in itself. Ponton swears by her method of squeezing tiny tops and essentials into her suitcase, only adding bulkier items when absolutely necessary. But she admits, “Sometimes if I'm shopping for something while I'm in Switzerland, but I need it in L.A., I'll just ship all the pieces to Los Angeles, which has honestly been my best friend."
Mishaps are part of the package, too. Olivia recalls moments of fashion panic, like waiting for a dress up until five minutes before a big event or spilling matcha down a gorgeous gown. And the unspoken rule among influencers? Change outfits for every event. "If you had four events in one night, you would pack four different outfits in your car and then you would change four different times," she reveals.
Despite the whirlwind pace, Ponton's learned to find moments of calm. A self-confessed shopaholic during her travels, she now sets aside entire days to play dress-up and plan outfits back home in L.A. Her more relaxed approach to style has her saying, "I'm going to bring a jacket, and I'll wear the jacket to one of 'em, and I won't wear the jacket to the other, and that's what you get."
The fast-paced lifestyle can be overwhelming, and Olivia admits to bouts of homesickness. "Sometimes I get really hard on myself and I get really homesick," she confesses. Yet, she finds solace in being surrounded by friends in vibrant new cities, reminding herself to appreciate the incredible opportunities.
As she continues her journey through 2026, Olivia Ponton embraces the present even if it means jumping across time zones, always searching for that ever-elusive balance between work and play.
