Fresh off his dazzling win on the 34th season of Dancing with the Stars, Robert Irwin couldn't wait to wave goodbye to the City of Angels. The 22-year-old conservationist, who has spent his life amidst the lush greenery of the Australian bush, jetted off to South Africa to host the Aussie version of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in a setting that feels more like home.

“Being in LA for the last three months has been wonderful, but I am not a city kid. I live out in the bush and have grown up there, so it's good to be back where there's a bit of greenery,” Robert shared with the West Australian.

Robert, son of the legendary Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, finds it challenging to juggle his conservation passions with his burgeoning showbiz career. "I want to take on the right projects that can mesh this world of conservation and connect it to a larger audience," he expressed. Even as he dreams of expanding his storytelling through wildlife documentaries and perhaps even scripted TV shows and movies, his heart pulls him back to the wild.

Love at the Zoo?

While Robert's career is soaring, his love life remains grounded – for now. Recently, he mused on whether he might find romance at Australia Zoo, the place where his parents, Steve and Terri, and his sister Bindi and her husband Chandler Powell, found love.

"I'm back in Australia Zoo. That's where my mum and dad met. That's where my sister and her husband met," Robert mentioned on the Today show, blushing at the idea of single ladies visiting the zoo to find love.

Amidst playful rumors linking him to Marvel star Xochitl Gomez, sparked by their intimate dance routine, Irwin was quick to dispel any gossip. "You guys, I'm still blushing when you bring all that up. Goodness me! Nothing particularly exciting to report in the love department," he laughed, keeping his romantic prospects as untamed as the wildlife he cherishes.
