Picture this: the glitz of Hollywood colliding with the roar of Formula One engines under the dazzling Singapore skyline. That’s exactly what went down on Oct 5 at the Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2025, where David Corenswet - the man who donned the iconic red cape in the 2025 Superman flick - jetted in to catch his very first F1 race. Talk about swapping Metropolis for Marina Bay!
The 32-year-old actor, who’s basically LA’s latest golden boy, shared his epic experience on Instagram the next day, Oct 6. Tagging the Singapore Tourism Board’s @visit_singapore account, he couldn’t help but rave about the event. “First F1 experience in the books, thanks to @visit_singapore,” he posted, adding a hilarious note about the drivers’ setup: “Tremendous dedication from the crews and the drivers who, I can confirm, operate with zero leg room or cup holders.”
Corenswet wasn’t the only star soaking up the high-octane action. Singapore’s own screen royalty, Zoe Tay and Desmond Tan, rolled up to the race and snagged some enviable selfies with the Superman stud. Tay, 57, captioned her group photo - which also featured local actors Glenn Yong and Tyler Ten - with a playful “Superman in SIN town,” while Tan, 39, kept it real with a close-up snap and the caption, “First time meeting Superman in my life.”
Desmond Tan also bumped into Chinese actor Dylan Wang at the event, sharing a photo with the Guardians Of The Dafeng star and writing, “Fellow actor for a living.” Wang, 26, was equally hyped, posting on Weibo and Instagram about the race with a caption that screamed excitement: “F1 in full throttle, let’s get fired up.” He even gave a shout-out to Singapore, calling it “absolutely thrilling” - a vibe any Cali surfer would get behind.
“Seeing Superman himself at the F1 race was unreal - David Corenswet brought that Hollywood magic to Singapore, and we’re here for it!” said a local fan on social media.
The Grand Prix wasn’t just a local affair - it was a full-on international red carpet, minus the Hollywood Boulevard. Other Singaporean celebs like actor Richie Koh, actresses Ferlyn G and He Yingying, and Yes 933 DJ Zhu Zeliang were spotted in the crowd, bringing that homegrown charm to the paddock. It’s like the entire entertainment scene decided to trade scripts for speed.
Foreign stars also flocked to the Marina Bay Street Circuit (a track that’s basically Singapore’s answer to Rodeo Drive, but with race cars). The lineup included English model Romeo Beckham - yeah, son of David and Victoria Beckham - Hong Kong model Ella Yam, daughter of actor Simon Yam, and South Korean singer Dino from K-pop sensations Seventeen. Add in South Korean actors Hyun Bin and Lee Jung-jae, Taiwanese stars Chen Bo-lin and Cheryl Yang, and Hong Kong model Gaile Lok, and you’ve got a guest list hotter than a Malibu summer day.
From Corenswet’s superhero swagger to the global glam squad, the Singapore Grand Prix was the place to be on Oct 5. It’s safe to say this race weekend had more star power than a blockbuster premiere - and we’re already counting down to next year’s lap around the Lion City!
