Taylor Momsen turned heads at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony held in Los Angeles on November 8, making a statement with her fashion-forward choices. The Hollywood native graced the red carpet in a daring black lace gown that left little to the imagination, opting to go braless and pair the ensemble with beige underwear. The edgy look was further accentuated with smokey black eye makeup and an array of silver rings and bracelets. Adding to the rock vibe, she styled her platinum blonde hair to one side.
“Seeing the White Stripes when I was a kid definitely had an impact on me. The monochromatic coloring of the stage and also the red and white aesthetic, gave the whole thing such presence and made me look at it as a whole as opposed to just what I’m wearing,” Taylor shared with CR Fashion Book.
Switching it up for the Press Room, Taylor continued her fashion parade with a sleek black satin mini-dress layered under an oversized leather jacket. She kept it quintessentially LA with fishnets, Dr. Martens combat boots, and effortless beachy waves. The evening also marked a heartwarming reunion with her "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" co-star, Jim Carrey. The duo posed for pictures, reminiscing about the movie where Taylor charmed audiences as Cindy Lou Who and Jim delivered his iconic take on the Grinch.
Taylor didn't just attend the ceremony; she owned it, bringing her rockstar prowess to the stage. As the lead of The Pretty Reckless, she joined Brandi Carlile for a powerful tribute to Soundgarden, performing hits like "Fell on Black Day," "Rusty Cage," and "Black Hole Sun" in honor of the band's induction. Reflecting on her style evolution, she credits her "Gossip Girl" days as pivotal in honing her fashion identity, acknowledging her past outfits as "outrageous" but authentically her own.
Taylor's passion for music and fashion goes hand in hand, creating a synergy that defines her artistry. "I just love music and fashion, so that's what I surround myself with. I think that, for a lot of musicians, fashion is a big part of the visual expression of their music," she expressed, highlighting how visuals play a crucial role in her performances and persona.
