Turning Drama into Dollar Bills

Ice Spice, the "Deli" rapper who's been setting the music scene alight, is now making waves in the fast food world. After a juicy incident at a Los Angeles McDonald's – where she was shockingly slapped by a customer – Ice Spice is turning lemons into spicy lemonade by starring in a brand new ad for Wendy's.

In this lively commercial, the 26-year-old rapper, whose real name is Isis Gaston, has a little fun with her stage name by transforming it into "Ice Spicy," promoting Wendy's latest spicy chicken sandwich. As she savors the idea of Wendy's upgraded classic, she even imagines scenarios like getting a neck tattoo emblazoned with "Ice Spicy."

“Spice recognize spice,” she quips with a cheeky grin, showing that she's taking her recent McDonald's beef in stride.

A Viral Altercation in the City of Angels

Fans have been buzzing about Ice Spice's new commercial, especially considering her recent high-profile scuffle at the iconic golden arches. Last month, a video released by TMZ showed the Grammy-nominated artist caught in a heated exchange with a woman at a McDonald's in LA. While Ice Spice and a friend were enjoying their meal, an uninvited customer approached and attempted to chat.

The rapper, visibly uninterested, pointed towards the exit, but things escalated quickly when the woman slapped her. The altercation spilled out onto the street, capturing the attention of both fans and media alike. Ice Spice's attorney, Bradford Cohen, spoke to Page Six, confirming that the incident has been reported to the LAPD, and hinted at possible legal action against those involved.

From Fast Food Employee to Rap Star

In an interesting twist of fate, Ice Spice's connection with Wendy's isn't entirely new. Before she hit the big time with her 2023 smash hit "Munch," she worked at the fast food chain. Reflecting on those days during a 2025 appearance on "The Kelly Clarkson Show," she mentioned the colorful characters she encountered while working there. "There would be really annoying workers and characters, but I would low-key appreciate them," she reminisced.

And although her McDonald's visit turned into a viral spectacle, she later played it off with humor, tweeting, “This wouldn’t happen at Wendy’s.” With her latest move, Ice Spice proves that in LA, even drama can be transformed into opportunity, especially when it comes with a side of spicy chicken.
