Jennifer Lopez is sending waves through both the celeb and tattoo worlds with a stunning vacation shot under the Sicilian sun. The iconic infinity tattoo on her ribs – once a tribute to her marriage with Ben Affleck – no longer features his name. But the ink isn't the only thing she's shedding; it seems J.Lo’s aiming to leave the past behind entirely.
The timing couldn't be more symbolic, as this visual declaration of independence lands around what would've marked their fourth wedding anniversary. However, untying the knot in ink is proving much easier than untangling their intertwined lives.
“Their children keep them connected, they just can’t escape each other,” a source told the Daily Mail.
Despite the divorce they finalized back in January 2025, J.Lo and Affleck can't seem to shake each other off completely. Their separate homes and lifestyles don't change the fact that their kids, Oskar and Fin, are practically inseparable. The teens' bond – forged back in 2021 when their parents rejoined forces – has survived the marital breakdown and keeps the family ties bound.
Oskar and Fin continue to hang out, whether it’s for a concert or a cozy sleepover, with Lopez often present to chaperone their outings, despite any unease with Affleck.
“She really doesn’t want to have to see Ben all the time,” another source noted, “but she would do anything for her kids, so she sucks it up.”
While parenting keeps them connected, so does their former Beverly Hills mansion, a sprawling estate initially purchased for a cool $61 million. As their marriage fizzled, they listed the property, initially aiming for $68 million, but the price has now dipped to $50 million after several reductions.
Complications in selling the home haven’t helped in closing this luxe chapter of their past. Lopez is eager to move beyond that page, now calling Hidden Hills home, while Affleck has settled into Pacific Palisades. Yet, until the mansion finds a new owner, it stands as a pricey reminder of their shared history.
The revised tattoo may symbolize Lopez’s attempt to reclaim her narrative, but the family ties and real estate entanglements are proving more challenging to erase.
