Oliver Tree’s journey has concluded as his body returns to the Golden State after a devastating helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro. The 32-year-old artist, known for his eclectic style and musical genius, was one of six victims in the tragic accident earlier this month. The news broke when his team announced on Instagram, expressing, “Rest in peace Oliver Tree Nickell. Your legacy will live on forever.” It's a sentiment that resonates with his fans and friends across the globe.
“Oliver is now back in California where he can finally rest.”
In line with Oliver’s wishes, a foundation titled 'Dr. Oliver Tree’s Extremely Epic Grant For Baby Geniuses' is set to launch soon. This initiative, written into his will, aims to spread joy, love, and art – Oliver's ultimate aspirations for the world. His team vowed to honor this wish, ensuring his passion and creativity continue to inspire future generations.
The message of gratitude from Oliver’s team extended to everyone who has shown support during these challenging times, saying, “The constant love, support and positivity is helping the family, friends and collaborators make it through these extremely difficult times.”
The tragic accident that claimed Oliver's life also took the lives of 23-year-old YouTuber Gaspar Prim, Brazilian DJ Lucas Frota, and others. The crash occurred when their helicopter collided with another, leading to a catastrophic fire at a nearby electric car dealership. An investigation by the Aeronautical Accidents Investigation and Prevention Center is currently underway to determine the cause.
Oliver was deeply involved in his world tour promoting his new album, Love You Madly, Hate You Badly, which kicked off in Mexico City. Though his tour was cut short, his influence and music continue to resonate with fans far and wide, celebrating his indomitable spirit and artistic legacy.
